The Transport Authority announced a total 16% adjustment: 8% on June 2 and a further 8% on July 1, 2026.
The first 8% phase took effect for public passenger vehicle categories.
The second 8% phase took effect and produced the current published schedules.
What is legal to charge
A fare increase is not permission to choose any price. The Transport Authority says operators may collect only the approved fare for the relevant PPV category and route.
